English is to be the basis of communications, but plans call for interpreters to accompany participants as needed.
Fees
Free
Fees for the on-site program, orientation and participation in the forum will be borne by the sponsor. Expenses for transportation, meals, and accommodation during the activities are included. However, expenses for discretionary activities, clothing worn during the program, etc., are not included.
Prerequisites for Application
  1. Current enrollment at a university or graduate school in Japan or in an ASEAN country
  2. Ability to use English for daily conversation (criterion: TOEIC score of 700 points or higher, or TOEFL score of PBT:550 CBT:210 iBT:80 points or higher)
  3. Healthy, physically fit individuals (because outdoor activities are included in the program)
  4. Availability for full participation on all days of the orientation around July 2009, the on-site program in early October (14 days), and the forum on December 11th (Friday) and 12th (Saturday)

(activities will involve a total of 30 people)

Instructions for Application
Submit the designated application form and a brief essay to the DENSO YOUTH for EARTH Action office in the whereabouts country of the registered university.
  1. Download the application form and essay sheet from the DENSO YOUTH for EARTH Action website.
  2. Please contact the DENSO YOUTH for EARTH Action office if you are in an area without internet access.
  3. Fill in the application form with the required information, such as your motive for applying, and attach a facial photograph.
  4. Compose a brief essay on the theme "What you can do for an environmentally friendly society" (600-800 English words).
  5. Submit the required documents to our office so that they arrive by April 10, 2009 (Friday) (may be submitted by either post or e-mail).
  6. submitted documents will not be returned.
